I was referred recently to Duke City Urgent Care to have the wax covering my right ear drum removed. I experienced excruciating pain and blood coming out of my right ear. I requested a copy of Duke City's medical record. It was full of falsehoods. It said I tolerated the procedure well (I was screaming from the pain) and that there was no bleeding. Unbelievable- scam artists. So watch out because we only went twice and I was billed from them thousandsbut they do it every few months you get a bill. So I argued why am I being billed 8 months after I saw you. Got some BS explaination and finally got someone to say wow something isnt right here! Let us look at it and get back to you. Never got a call back, ever. I came to Duke City because I am sick like most do when they cant get into their PCP same day. I was immediately informed before even told hi or anything I had a past due balance I wasnt aware of. I informed the girl I had different insurance and I wasnt even asked if I wanted to pay the balance right then and there. She proceeds to tell me to have a seat and calls the billing department and makes sure to speak as loudly as possible. This place is awful and rude. No professionalism whatsoever. I was a walk in patient at 4:30pm and registered electronically a few minutes later. I was completely understanding of wait time. I was told that I would receive a text when it was my turn to be seen. At 5:45 I went back to the clinic to check where my position was in line and was told I had 4 ahead of me. Called to dispute bogus charges such as exam fee, service fee, and urgent care fee. I have a right to dispute charges however was met with ignorance in handling my dispute and was sent a letter stating they would forward my bill to collections and also a letter saying they will no longer treat me and to seek services elsewhere. Still have not resolved my billing charges for a minor cut they turned me away for stitches since it was 2 days old.

Angie is the provider I saw for my problem. She was very professional, courteous & compassionate. She was very knowledgeable and explained the various procedures fully. The xray tech was Dolores. She too was courteous and kind and made me comfortable during the xray. The 2 ladies at the front desk were friendly & professional. I will highly recommend this facility.
