If you or a loved one is in need of mental health care, this is the place to go. Every professional from psychiatrist to nurse and social worker is compassionate, patient, and truly interested in each patient. The patients I met were all doing very well because of this top notch care. There are many therapy sessions offered during the day, and they are well presented and really make an impact. The food is delicious, and interesting and varied too. We in the triangle are blessed to have this resource.
I was admitted here by the HEART team after a failed sucide attempt, I was at my lowest. Not to mention I was currently homeless. They treated me like I was a drug addict looking for a place to crash. They seemed surprised when I told them I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder / anxiety.. and kept asking “ what do you think we can do for you” I wanted to pull out my medical records on my phone and show them soo bad. My mother was admitted to inpatient care here and they basically saved her life. The entire staff from the Dr's to the social workers were all incredible. Even the security guards were wonderful. I brought my mother here from out of state when her hometown failed to help her. It was basically a life or death situation. After about 3 or 4 weeks my mom was well enough to come home. Though the staff here was direct, they were incredibly professional and no nonsense. I myself was quite the handful; however once I acknowledged the need for assistance to work through my paranoia and dissolution I was accommodated to the respect I needed.
