If you have someone here at Duke Behavioral Health North make sure you have a password and an appointment before you go there. I had my daughter there and did not get to see her. I asked to speak with the manager in charge and still did not get to see her. I had brought her some clothes and a blanket. They did take that. I drove over an hour to see her. Still I was denied. They may be good with mental health processes; but, they sure don't know how to deal with a Mother who just wanted to see her daughter. I am against this ... read more

If you or a loved one is in need of mental health care, this is the place to go. Every professional from psychiatrist to nurse and social worker is compassionate, patient, and truly interested in each patient. The patients I met were all doing very well because of this top notch care. There are many therapy sessions offered during the day, and they are well presented and really make an impact. The food is delicious, and interesting and varied too. We in the triangle are blessed to have this resource.

I don’t like some of these nurses honestly some of them should be fired, forcing someone to take something against there will is just no right more so telling someone that if they don’t calm down there going to get Ativan I would’ve felt more comfortable and safer if some of the nursers didn’t jsut ignore you and your concerns and force yo
