An Amazing Place. Staff everyone is A1!! Everyone so helpful, patience, and very well knowledge. Facility is clean! Traveled almost 2 hours away to come here and i have no complaints what so ever.
I was a patient for nearly a year and while it was a horrible time in my life I had some amazing people help me throughout my time. Greyson the front desk worker is absolutely amazing. She always recognized me and tried to make me feel welcomed. She consistently made me enjoy checking in for horrible days and made me feel hopful. While I am grateful for the work done here the facility is very lacking for patients going through so much. Rooms/ sitting areas for treatment have no comfort and there is no food cafeteria even though you may spend all day here. Appointments never seem to be on time and I haven’t seen my doctor 2weeks in to transplant
My experience with Duke Blood Cancer Center as a healthcare advocate for my mom has been distressing. It just goes to show that all healthcare facilities under Duke are not created equal. Last year in November, a healthcare worker at Duke was pushing my wheelchair-bound mom to her transportation service and caused my mom to fall due to their negligence.
