The Best! – The food was incredible - fresh and totally authentic - Chef David had outdone hime self with every aspect of this charming restaurant.
Watch this place take off! – The warm red hues and cool urban interiors are delightful. The Asian Fusion is high on quality presentation and nutrition. Then there's the service: quick and efficient. We asked for sauce to jazz up the house fried rice and the staff kept bringing us sauces until we had every sauce in the house!
Disregard any negatives. – It's simple, new restaurants aren't perfect and need time to get to where they want to be and anyone who can't see that is only trying to destroy small business, like the review below mine. I went in for lunch yesterday and was very please. The prices are fair, if not somewhat inexpensive, service was fine, the restaurant is very cool and hip. I recommend it, you will have a good time and enjoy your food.
Four Fabulous Courses!! – From the half fried dumplings to the filet to the green tea icecream--everything was heavenly. We felt very taken care without feeling smothered, even with the chef himself making two appearances at our table. Don't be fooled by the hype... – The restaurant looks beautiful, food is perfectly presented...and then it all fails. The service SUCKS...big time, and the food is such a let down. The owner should go back to the type of food he was preparing when he was in Cameron Village. It's got all the potential...trendy...good seating...but the food needs to be improved before I'll go back.
Needed atmosphere in downtown Raleigh – The Duck and Dumpling is a class act restaurant with a huge touch of NYC chic that goes down to the menu design of corrugated cardboard and mylar. The best chinese in North Carolina! – The Duck and Dumpling offers magnificent Asian fusion dishes in a warm and attractive environment. They are very happy to cater to the guests' wishes, creating delicious vegetarian dishes out of their menu items. The food was perfectly done and well presented. They have high chairs for the younger enthusiasts, but there is no children's atmosphere.
Delicious Duck! – You'll think you had stepped into a New York restaurant when you go to the Duck and Dumpling. Beautiful design, soft jazz, attentive service - what a delight. The food is up to the measure of the ambiance. In a party of 9 we had no dish that wasn't a rave. Fresh flavors, lovely presentation, all in all top-notch.
Trendy and Tasty! – When I walked in, I felt a little ordinary, as the atmosphere and other customers were quite trendy. But, nonetheless, we were seated right away (we did have reservations) and were greated by a very friendly server. The menu is fabulous and reasonably priced, and it was hard to decide what to order!
