Excellent service, fantastic burgers! I had lunch with a couple of old friends and never felt rushed to eat and get out! I have the shaft whenever I go, no alcohol, but they still get $3.00 for it! It’s delicious! It hasn’t changed in over 25 years! It’s a must stop, every time we get to Dubuque!
Not impressive at all. Very small, football shaped flavorless burger cooked til dry(ordered medium well) and topped with a ridiculous pile of pickled jalapeno pepper(mostly pepper tops) and precooked cold bacon pinwheel for $9. Fries were good.

A Dubuque native told me I’d get the best burger in Dubuque at The Mining Company. She didn’t lie - the burger was awesome. The fries were excellent as well. I highly recommend the Western BBQ Bacon Burger.
Really good burgers and fries. Nice drink selection. The service was a little suspect. Took for ever to be acknowledged at the front door, only to be told to seat ourselves. Then the server did a nice job, but hung out at the bar too much with out checking back more.
