While we've only been living here for a few months, we've had a few issues that involved Maintenance coming to take a look. Dwayne was incredibly helpful and understanding of what was going on with our unit. He explained everything to us so we knew what to do if it occurred again. We lucked out with great maintenance and property manager!
Just a heads up the maintenance will absolutely enter your apartment with little to no notice. And management does not care. I would suggest a guard dog.
Read any dsm rental lease very carefully before signing. According to Iowa state law landlords and apartment complexes have to give a 24 hour notice before entering any apartment unless for emergency, which is what dsm rental states in the first part of their lease. BUT in the second part of their lease here it states if you put in a work order they are allowed to come into your apartment at ANY time. Which, first of all, is extremely contradicting!
