My husband and my friends took me to Drunken Fish for my thirtieth birthday while we were visiting Kansas City. The food and the drinks were delicious (try the Fountain of Youth or Mango Sake); our server, Jordan, was quite busy as the restaurant was PACKED, but she still provided us with impeccable service. We will definitely be eating here again on our next visit! :)
I had the BEST experience at the Leawood location this past weekend! I was in town for a business event and has a few spare hours alone. I was lucky to get Ian for my server. Not only was he super friendly, but he recommended the mango roll, which was AMAZING!! I will definitely be back next time I'm in town!!!
Had to wait ages for subpar sushi, and close to 20 minutes TO PAY
Will not be returning. Waited forever to get our food, then have been waiting TWENTY MINUTES after she bagged our food to pay AND LEAVE!!!!! As guests pile up at the door to be seated tables are not being bused behind us AND WE'RE still SITTING HERE!!!!!!!!!!! Would not recommend to ANYONE!!!
Went to DF tonight with my husband. It was busy, but there were 4 seats available at the sushi bar. My husband pointed this out to the hostess. She emphatically told him that the wait was 45 minutes to an hour, and she wouldn't seat anyone there because the waitress already had too many tables. When a restaurant is that busy, the manager should help serve or a busboy should get promoted to waiter. Paying customers should not be sent away when seating is available. Bad for business.
