Last night was my first experience at Drunken Fish. You all were very busy! I do not remember the name of my server but he was the bartender who was also taking tables outside. He was absolutely amazing! He was very friendly and professional! I appreciate him being so nice even though I'm sure he was probably stressed because you all were packed! Food was amazing and the green tea ice cream was to die for! Thank you guys!!!
I understand it was a busy tournament weekend, and the waiter explained it was only his 5th shift. He was great. I wish he would have told use the chefs were even less experienced. The miso and edamame were good, but it was the worst sashimi I've ever had. Salmon isn't usually served with a citrus squeezed on top. Red snapper usually has some red in it. Best sushi in KC, but definitely on the pricey side. However, there's usually a Groupon available and the starburst roll is well worth it!
I've been wanting to go to this place since I first saw it in 10th grade,when I drove past with some friends. I used to talk about it all the time in highschool....and I almost went a few times but something always came up. Finally after years of waiting...I went tonight... And it was incredible!! :)
