Dr. Novak has a good sense of humor but 80% of the time the front desk is unpleasant and really nasty. I’ve heard them say mean things about patients after speaking to them on the phone numerous times. I’ve told them about my primary insurance each time I went in and told they already had my vision. Then on the phone today she got annoyed that THEY didn’t have it when I’ve had the same one for two years and informed them each time. Dr. Novak is a money hungry scum bag. He is not a doctor. Caught him red handed overcharging me for an exam and making me pay out of pocket. He charged me $270 out of pocket for an exam claiming my insurance wouldn’t cover it. Then I get informed by my insurance that he charged them $485 just for my visit. I confronted his office and they sent me a check for $165. They refused to refund my credit card. Months later when I have to reorder contact lenses, they denied my prescription and claimed I haven’t gone there in years. H... read more

This is a review for the service department of the optometrist wilck, et al. The service department, run by Corie Bovell, is the best! I knew Corie from his earlier location on E 7th. He is professional, fair and an all-around great guy! I was actually in a bad mood because of my broken (expensive) sunglasses. When he fixed it while I waited, he got me in a better mood simply from his jovial personality! You actually want broken glasses just to see him. Highly recommended!
