The drop-in center are a group of friends who have no licensure or certification beyond a couple hour class that prints you a piece of paper afterwards. They are not therapists, even if they want to pretend. If you are seeking addiction or mental health help, please ensure you ask for actual credentials. I think this place should be investigated by the state.
This place cares! The employees all have mental health diagnosis so they understand on a deeper level with the members. This is a safe place for someone who struggles with mental health and wants to hangout. They have coffee, pool table, zen room, quiet room to watch movies and take naps. You can also request peer services for help !!! I highly recommend this to family friends and loved ones
They let the people they are trying to help go to the end of the parking lot and smoke Marijuana. Not sure how this is helpful for recovery.
It's a great place to hang out and meet people. I go everyday, until iIhave to leave to go to work, each day. Except for my day off, iIusually hang out until they close.
