Great restaurant for breakfast! I've been to this restaurant quite a few times for breakfast during trips up north. They have great service and friendly smiling people. Hometown feel with good coffee and pancakes which is what I usually got! Nice little restaurant and best prices for area as well.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS This place is filled with potential but so poorly managed it's a sad joke. Too bad I can'[t give it a ZERO After having a previous problem months ago, I ave them a second chance, walking in with 8 other people. Meals were delivered to the table incorrect and in stages with mine showing up, incorrectly prepared, after everyone else was done eating. I refused my meal when it arrived as everyone else was ready to leave. Others waited for simple things like toast or pancakes that were part of their order again... read more
SUnday dinner We ate dinner on a Sunday evening here. The service was very good - food was okay - portions very large - could not eat everything. Very clean inside and prices quite reasonable.
So pricey I think my hat blew off when I saw the bill.
Went to Drifters today w my hubby & we both ordered breakfast. Waited a bit longer, no prob, but when we rec'd our meals, toast was burnt on one side & barely cooked on the other, bacon wasn't fully cooked & eggs were cold. When we finally got the attention of our waitress I told her about it & just asked to credit for the burnt toast. I didn't think it was fair that we pay for something we didn't eat. Excellent Breakfast – Drifter's has the best breakfast in Escanaba. If Anna is working, ask for her. She's the best waitress ever, very down-to-earth and her friendliness makes you feel like you're at home. We especially like the food portions. We are able to split the Mexican omelet with pancakes, only adding a bagel on the side and it's plenty of food for two. The only downside about the restaurant is it could use a makeover. If it weren't for that, we'd give it a 5 star rating.
Keep driving.... Not worth a stop – Note that the "good" reviews were several years ago.... Dad, the restauranteur died leaving it to his son. Service is exceptionally poor with an attitude reflecting a feeling that they are the only game in town. Massive menu is a reflection of NOTHING being fresh or especially well prepared. Blueberry pancakes actually served as regular pancakes smothered in blueberry pie filling. Toast delivered with one side incinerated but carefully placed burnt side down to hide it.
