Do not build your home with this company. This is our 2nd time and the more you spend multiply the issues. From start to finish a total nightmare. Tried giving us cheaper stone, trash under tub install, messy paint job, travertine tile was defective, then wrong tile installed 7 months later...still not done by the way and bathroom is left demolitioned still....tile roof job was messy, stucco sprayed all over fence (still not cleaned), paint was sprayed on roof tiles, plumbing leaks from toilet and tub running through our ... read more
Do not stand behind the products that are damaged by their workers. You may get a slight goodwill gesture. But nothing to make it what they damaged.
Our Drees Home has a brick wall and chimney, but it was not properly constructed, leading to a significant leak, mold, and water damage. We have been told by our contractors that Drees used mortar that was too sandy, and that not enough mortar was put between the bricks, leading to the leak. We have finally fixed the problem after several years of effort, while leaving our family room wall open to monitor the leak and incurring thousands of dollars of expenses. They lure you in with smiles and promises and push off any issues or complaints as if they are unwarranted. They don’t respect your money and act nonchalant when you express concern over their process. Do all your research and don’t buy into the “well take care of everything” sales pitch. It really should have been “we’ll take care of a, b, c, and if there’s a bump the rest is on you”. They are incredibly slow to respond to questions or pricing requests, and it’s next to impossible to get a grand total if you aren’t tracking... read more
Horrible company. No one cares, once you sign the contract, you are all theirs. Their only goal after the contract is signed is to squeeze every penny from the project at the cost of your peace and happiness. This is not a custom home builder, they are just like Pulte or Centex without the cheap prices. Save your self the stress and dont be fooled by the marketing. This is a NO GO. PERIOD.
Terrible sloppy service. If looking for a custom home, I recommend looking elsewhere!
All Drees personnel were friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and tremendously helpful
I've had issues with my home and they were eventually taken care of. My problem with the company is that my lawn looks like a patch quilt. They have laid sod in some areas and ran out, so they seeded in between and told us they would come back if it did not take. Well it's on a hill and it just washes away before anything but weeds can take root. We have been strung along since we moved into the home and now they say it looks fine to them. I bet it wouldn't be fine if it were the lawn of their model.. So I warn you again... read more
