Gotta say that I’m pretty disappointed in the way a leaking roof gets handled with Olthof. It’s been 2 and a half months since the leak started and it’s leaking worse now than when it started. The sense of urgency with an issue like this is absolutely unacceptable. Maybe this review will get them to take these types of issues a little more seriously. UPDATE: the roof is STILL leaking after the “fix” it’s now been 3 months and a week with a leaking ceiling.
I purchased this home from Olthof pre-built. Having previously purchased a spec home from a different builder I assumed this process would be the same. I was mistaken. These guys take it seriously. We had a 30-day walkthrough after purchasing and they fixed issues on the spot and have called others to fix issues. They also called for a repair prior to the 30-day. The sales process was so easy. Kara was patient with all of the questions and I really enjoyed working with her.
During my visit to Olthof Homes to check out their models I had the pleasure of working with Kara. She was absolutely fantastic! As someone who has never had a home built before, I appreciated how she made the process so simple and easy to understand. Moving to Fort Wayne from Southern California was daunting and exciting at the same time, but what was the easiest part was working with Kara Hoffer at Drakes Pointe.
