Drakes Carpentry is the best kind of small business. They are responsive and good problem solvers. They did many small projects including painting our front doors, replacing broken glass in my entry, fixing the ceiling in our shower. The biggest job was repair to and fix the rotted out wood on our porch. They did a beautiful job with good communication throughout. All of the people are polite and show up when they say they will. I will definitely keep them top of my list for future work.
As an architect in NYC, I am always looking for a contractor who is reliable, reasonably priced, highly skilled in all trades and who pays great attention to detail. Tyrone and his team meet all of these criteria. In addition, the job site was always clean and well maintained and whenever unexpected issues arose they proved excellent at problem solving. I would highly recommend Drakes Carpentry.

Their deep understanding of townhouses in how they beautifully restored my home; mixing traditional aesthetics with modern touches. Highly skilled, innovative, & reliable. Drake's was wonderful to work with. The level of care and attention to detail was amazing. They did a beautiful job on stripping the wood and restoring and repairing the existing plaster details as well as the wood floors. Honest, careful and reasonably priced!!!
What can I say about Drakes, they were a life saver. I got duped by another contractor and Drakes came in fixed it all. Not just redoing work to the standard that was above excellent, but restoring my faith that decent contractors exist. His workmen were on time and courteous, when they worked at the end of the day they cleaned up even if they would need to come back to it the next day. If I was not happy with something the communication was open and direct. I highly recommend Drakes!
