I pulled up to the Dragon Pitt around 5:30 pm on a Friday evening. Dennis the owner was there, I asked if he had a room available, his answer was yes, we have one! I said I would take it, he simply said, cool, if you want to ride the tail this evening, go ahead, it'll take you about an hour and a half, we can take care of everything when you get back... or before you leave... whatever. The key is in the room. Enjoy! What a place! Laid back, relaxing atmosphere! Way cool owners! And their dog, Scooter, is the coolest!!!
Awesome place run by awesome people. Great location and food was great. Will definitely stay again. Down to earth people that make you feel at home. Great experience!
This is the only place I will ever stay in the area. Rooms are clean, the place is well maintained and the food is great. Dennis is very friendly, accommodating and a fellow rider. We have stayed with him 2 or 3 times now and I will be back in a couple weeks. You simply cant beat the location, waking up here puts a smile on my face every time!
We had a great stay with Janie and Dennis. We had some of the best BBQ and met some of ally great people. Besides being in the Great Smoky Mountains, we had a nice relaxing time at the Dragon Pitt Inn.
Been staying here for the last five years for a week or so at a time. No better place to stay in the area. Quiet and relaxing with some of the best people running it you will ever meet.
We were traveling from Michigan on the bikes and stopped in for some lunch after doing the Tail of the Dragon. Awesome food. Great atmosphere. Will definitely stop in on our next time through!
A 3 night stay was not long enough. We traveled with 2 other couples and none of us wanted to leave. Clean rooms with wonderful rustic decor and the most comfy beds. Owners Dennis and Jane, along with their staff are some of the most friendly, accommodating people you will find. I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans and cole slaw at the restaurant. An added bonus is watching motorcycles/vehicles going to and coming from the Tail of the Dragon (9 miles away) while sitting and relaxing in front of your room ... read more
