I Hate The Name Dragon Palace has a horrible name and perhaps not the greatest location but I wondered in with some co-workers and they have great specials. I would say the food wasn't that great but it was very cheap to compensate for it.
Great Bargain...Friendly Staff The $3.99 lunch special is an unbeatable bargain. The food comes out with the swiftness of a fast food burger joint, yet tastes just as delicious as your more expensive Chinese restaurants.
Don't expect authentic Chinese food or cutting edge fusion. It does offer food thrown together with some sort of Chinese-ish sauce. The lunch specials are pretty good for Santa Monica.
AKA "Cheap Chinese" – I LOVE this restaurant. Good portions, variety and ingredients in a meal that is so cheap you feel like you're stealing your meal. The decor is nothing special unless you like the obligatory fish tank but the floors and tables are clean. Perfect for a quick lunch as they have many cheap lunch specials. The service is incredibly friendly. They've promised me they don't use MSG and when you order take-out you'll be surprised by how quickly your order is ready.
