I want to share my experience in hopes it doesn’t happen to someone else. I broke my ankle(fibula) which I was told was a fairly normal brake. Maybe slightly lower than others but generally pretty normal. I was originally seen by a surgeon that said it was boarderline surgery but he would recommend as I’m young and would heal well. Dr. Sidky and his team put me back together after a bad snowboarding crash. I have had both my tibia and fibula broken, requiring a intramedullary tibial nailing procedure. I am now in my 4th month of recovery and feeling better every day. Dr. Sidky has followed up with me every 6-8 weeks after the surgery and always was patient enough to answer many questions I've had.
