The previously posted review by Ms. Sams is clearly a case of mistaken identity, which is probably why the physician's daughter contacted the reviewer. Dr. Dowdy is a pathologist, not an oncologist or radiologist. Pathologists have no control over ordering, cancelling, or scheduling PET scans and, therefore, could not have been the source of the scheduling mix-up. Someone is likely to blame for this unfortunate delay, but it is certainly not the patient's pathologist, who, most likely rendered a timely and expert diagnosis.

The services for Oncology at Kettering get 0 stars from me! My mother was just seen by Dr. Dowdy on 4/6/18 and diagnosed with stage 4 andenocarcinoma and a PET scan was ordered by the doctor for 1 week later (4/13/18). She was called by Kettering today (4/12/18) and told that the appointment needed to be cancelled because the insurance hasn’t approved a PET scan yet.
