Had an appointment in the morning. They had me wait in the waiting room for 40 minutes before they took me back to a room. When I sat in the room I asked the nurse how long he would be. She told me 2-3 hours as if it was nothing. I thought she was joking. She wasn't. I asked how he could possibly be 2-3 hours behind when they have only been open for 1.5 hours. I was told he is always behind. I didnt' wait. Asked for a refund. Rediculous.

Between pre-op, operation and post-op he spent a total of 15 minutes with me. He said the operation was just a standard in and out procedure with very little recovery time. My time in the operation facility lasted 6 and 1/2 hours! I was put under using anesthesia and because he was running so late I actually woke up completely, sat up in pre-op for 2 more hours before the surgery. If you're having a problem with your eye, this is the doctor to see. We were referred to Dr Benson by another doctor regarding my daughter. The first doctor told us it could be cancer in her eye. Dr Benson knew immediately that that was not the case and put our minds at ease with a confident and thoroughly explained diagnosis. We were immediately set up with a treatment plan. He was extremely kind and generous with my daughter and very understanding with her father and me. His bedside manner was outstanding. He always took t... read more

Excellent no-bones Doctor. Very straightforward. Doesn't tolerate emotions. 'If anyone can get it done, he can.'

Dr Benson was dismissive and condescending; he saw a real problem and said nothing could be done and I should be glad that it was my non dominate eye. He then said it had been this way for a long time. When I TRIED to explain it was only about three months, he walked out. I did not accept his diagnosis and went to Mayo, there I found out that it is from a combination of medications. If those are not changed It can happen again to my dominate eye and then I will have NO CENTRAL VISUAL ACUITY. He obviously is a cataract robot.... read more
