I had an appt made by their staff in place for weeks. I waited weeks for this appt.They called me 1 week before the appt.and cancelled. Stating that he only examined feet and ankles in the med center and ONLY knees in his Katy office with the next appt months away. So stupid and inconsiderate of my time. I could understand only doing an operation in a certain OR but not an exam. Now I have to search for another MD.
2009 Dr. McGarvey performed an inbone total ankle replacement to my right foot. He was assisted by Dr. Clanton, who flew in from Vail to assist. It has been 15 years, and it is still functioning. May be time for some clean-up. Can't say enough about these two surgeons. They gave me my freedom back and I thank God for these incredible men. Some people complain about Dr. McGarvey's bedside manners, but I was not there to be coddled. I was there to get my life back and for that I will be eternally grateful. Excellent doctor. His credentials and years of practice speak for themselves, so I'll speak to his integrity instead. The doctor is honest and ethical, to a fault, in that he will actively hold off on performing procedures that would undoubtedly make him good money, in lieu of ensuring his patients first try other, less expensive, less invasive options (with with doctors, or rehab facilities), before doing so.
