I visited Dr. Reese for upper flank pain. Both times I went in she dismissed my pain, thought I was a liar, and refused to tell my mom what was happening. I am a student in Virginia, I originally live 5 hours away, and my mom couldn’t be down here for my appointments. The first time I went in she questioned my pain as I’m crying because it hurts so bad. She had 0 remorse, and then gave me some dumb gas medication and then pain never resided. This was my mother’s first and last appointment with Dr. Reese, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. As a first-time patient, we were hoping to find a physician who would take the time to understand and support her needs as she ages. However, Dr. Reese lacked the warmth and patience necessary to build rapport. The appointment felt rushed from the start. I've been seeing Dr. Reese for over 10 years, and she is truly an exceptional physician. She takes time to listen, has a great bedside manner, and provides a holistic approach to health and wellness. Her care goes beyond just treating symptoms - she focuses on overall well-being and long-term health. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough primary care doctor.
I tried ignoring the negative reviews here, but they all turned out pretty accurate. Dr. Reese talks through you; she does not talk to you. What's worse is that her observation room walls are so thin you can hear what is happening in the next room. That should be a HIPAA violation, no? For empathetic and current care I will look elsewhere.
Two weeks after consistently following up I finally received my reasonable accommodation paperwork that was advised I would receive within 2 business days from my original appointment. The paperwork did not address all of my medical concerns and did not relay the severity of my condition. In addition to the experience above occuring in 2023; in 2024 I received a call to schedule an appointment where they advised me that I was last seen in March of 2024.
