My child needed a filling done on one of her teeth. This was her first cavity. Dr Svoboda and the assistant made her feel comfortable the entire procedure. She came out of the appointment telling me she was scared for nothing!
My children have been patients of Dr. Svoboda's for 5 years now, and it's always a welcoming experience. Both of my kids were very apprehensive for their first visits, but the staff and Dr. Svoboda made it a happy experience. My 2 year old was very scared so he sat with me and just had Dr. Svoboda look. He answered all of my questions and was gentle with my son. Now he is so excited for his 6 month check up.
This dentist came recommended and the appointment was good. When we first contacted for the appointment we were told by the office staff our insurance was covered. Needless to say, the office staff did not do any research and concluded that we were responsible for the bill. After trying to figure out what happened the receptionist hung up on my wife. I place the unpleasantness of the office staff clearly on the dentist as he hires and fires. We will not be returning to this dentist and will NOT recommend them to anyone else.... read more
My children love going to see Dr. Svoboda, he is gental and makes my children feel comfortable. Every dentist should do things his way.
Dental staff was very good, but back office was horrid. A simple filling and x-ray for our child was billed at nearly $1000. Insurance billing was completely messed up and we spent weeks sorting out the double-billing and incorrectly filed insurance forms. Office staff was extremely rude and condescending.
Dr. Svoboda is highly skilled and great with the kids. He has a great staff. If your child has special dental needs, this is the place to go. However, it is very expensive to get his specialized service, so BE SURE your insurance covers what he is recommending. It is smart to get a second opinion concerning extraction of baby teeth. Wonderful pediatric dentist. I can't say enough about Dr.Svoboda, or the hygenists in his office. My kids have been going there for over 10 years. The calm personalities and the willingness to take the time to explain procedures to my children have made all the difference. One of my children even had a tooth pulled in his office. This child worries about everything, and reacts strongly, but the procedure was quietly accomplished with no tears and no upsets. Best children's dentist around.
