Caring, professional and has a great sense of humor.. Long time since I saw him but he is certainly one of a kind. And for those who complain about the wait... when someone is so good there is a demand and there is a reason for that.
He is a good doctor but his office staff are the most inept group of people that I’ve ever seen. The absolute worst.
I saw Dr Werbitt twice and my experience was so bad, I quit. This is the first time I've ever switched doctors mid-treatment. 1. I arrived on time for my afternoon appointment. I waited 70 minutes in the first waiting room. Then another 65 minutes in the back waiting room before seeing the doctor. The staff indicated to me afterwards that this is completely normal in this office. 2. They gave me the wrong script for the pharmacy. I had to call back to have the correct one sent over. 3. One Day at a Time!!!
I have been a patient of Dr Werbitt since the late 1980's . He is a very compassionate doctor who always gives you undivided attention when you are in the room with him. He has numerous top doctor awards and he is well deserving of them. If you are looking for a drive-by doctor then this is not the man you want but if you want a well-educated professional who cares for his patients then this is the doctor for you. He has trained as a pharmacist, D.O. and also has a MD. 10 stars!
Abominably long wait times (+2 hrs each time I've been there); difficulty communicating with office staff about authorizations, scheduling (they once scheduled me in the wrong office with a different doctor), and test prep instructions (I didn't get instructions for an invasive biopsy procedure until the day before); a barrage of tests and procedures (which a second opinion later told me were totally unnecessary)...Overall, a troubling pattern of issues.
Dr werbitt has a problem with medical ethics. He also pads the bill through misdiagnosis.
Dr. Werbitt is one of the best physicians I have ever known. He has excellent medical intuition. On top of that, he has a wonderful bedside manner, is very patient and spends the appropriate amount of time with each patient. The waiting room time may be a weak point, but I know it is because he spends as much time as needed with each patient. He doesn't pencil you in for 10 minutes and then rush you out. He truly cares and is compassionate on top of being an awesome doctor.
Very dissatisfied with the practice. Exceptionally long wait times and a disorganized scheduling department.
