I was disappointed with my experience at this clinic. Dr.Yakimets colleague her name is Nena was unprofessional and dismissive. When the doctor left a note instructing her to make an appointment for me at the Cross Cancer Institute, she started questioning it and giving me advice as if she was the doctor herself. Dr. Yakimets performed hernia repair on me in 2005. I went back to him because of excruciating pain. He removed some sutures but it didn't help. I went back again and he passed me off to his female colleague who was rude and condescending. Both she and Dr. Yakimets need to be educated about the issues caused by hernia mesh. They ignored my concerns and I have suffered pain for 17 years. The past year has been unbearable as the mesh has failed and the hernia recurred.
