Did not end up selecting him for the dental work I needed because I could barely make it through my 5 minute phone call with him. He was rude, condescending, and unhelpful, and I agree with other reviews that it seemed financially motivated. In other words, he was intensely pushy about me getting a procedure I can’t afford and didn’t even try to hide his lack of compassion. Luckily I have dental insurance and I’m not stuck going to him. Dr. Shuster has been my go-to endodontist for several years now, having taken care of a couple root canals for me. I have found him to be honest and thorough - during what I thought was another root canal (I have a lot), Dr. Shuster advised that it was not and recommended against getting a root canal and to monitor over time. The discomfort and pain I felt did eventually subside over the next couple weeks and I really appreciated that Dr. Shuster did not advise me on doing a procedure that would have been expensive.
