After bloodwork showed elevated levels (nothing alarming) she immediately wanted to prescribe heavy doses of several medicines. Thank God I got a second opinion as 2 medicines were unnecessary and one needed a much smaller dose. Then the next year when she ordered blood work she didn't even order a test for the condition that requires medicine. When I asked her why, she said, 'I don't follow up on chronic conditions.'
Dr Hammonds has been treating me for over 5 years and I've had nothing but positive experiences with her. She takes her time to listen to me and help me with my concerns. She is great- however office staff is not. I only deal with the office staff because I only want her to treat me.
I regret my husband and myself going to her. She does not have any empathy towards her patients. She totally ignored and dismissed all my husband’s concerns and symptoms. She never made any referrals but instead went with my husband’s suggestions of what doctor he should be seeing. A doctor should take into account all of your concerns. I liked Dr Hammonds, she seemed like a doc with a good bedside manner. Then the office started canceling my appts or rescheduling them for unknown reasons. So I started seeing their NP. Now the rescheduling has started with my appointments with her. This has been a prob with this office. Started out great but now getting a firm appointment is a game.
Last Visit June 2023, was a come to "jesus" meeting. I have had nothing but a runaround for Months with this Practice. Hold Most Important Scripts "ransom" until you see Doc. Yet, when I get appt./ 80% of time They Cancel. Doc says I cancelled. Not True. Make another appt. Still will not Fill MOST IMPORTANT SCRIP. Again, FIRST DO NO HARM.

I have been with Dr. Hammonds for many many years and I regret going to her. She does not have any empathy towards her patients. She does not listen to the concerns of her patients and it seems like she is always in a rush to get patients out the door. I want a doctor where I can have a conversation with about my concerns and not feel judged or misunderstood. She always makes me feel so unwelcomed to the point of tears. Dr. Hammonds has been treating me for well over 10 years. She is not only an excellent heath care provider but she is a compassionate and caring person. I would highly recommend her to anyone as a primary care physician.
