Excellent physician, have had three major surgeries with her. Very intuitive: when you're trying to articulate a question she's really good at seeing where you're going with it and giving you the information you're grasping for. Also tends to be optimistic, quick to outline best-case scenarios. Even when you don't quite believe her, in an "I'm not that lucky" kind of way, it's still reassuring. Draws pictures that are also useful in helping you understand what the procedures are all about. A good human.
Update 2024 - still superb...you can always tell a good doctor by statements like "we're not going to do that procedure because it probably won't give you any benefit"....rather than scheduling surgeries because they need a new Ferrari...Dr. Tam is someone who actually listened to that Hippocratic guy on the first day of school, a rarity.
