Dr. Varu is suddenly out of business, with no warning. I never got a notification letter or email, so had to scramble to find another provider to fill my meds.
Dr. Varu is awesome. I sit in on Patricks appointments, which have been virtual but IN HIS BACK OFFICE...we were given a noon appointment on August 24th and the office was closed up tight, with a note on the door saying no longer will he take office visits of any kind. Patrick is 72 (with many problems) and I'm 78 and have no idea how to set up a virtual appointment on my computer. Dr. Varu is a fantastic doctor. He is caring, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. He has me feeling better than I have in a long time.
Dr Varu is good enough it is communications with his office that is the problem. I called in a prescription on a Mon and on Fri there was no word. It is almost impossible to get in touch with a human and its frustrating. Not worth my energy, need a doc that is available and responsive.
A great doctor who will work with you and really help and understand even when you feel there is no place and no one he will be there I know he has been my doctor for well over 10 years the good the bad and the uglier parts of life.
Dr. Varu himself is great. He's stoic, but you can tell he really cares about his patients. He once asked me my opinion on how to make his office more welcoming, and has a gentle sense of humor that I find welcoming. I absolutely HATE dealing with his office, though. His receptionist's voice message states they'll call you in 3-5 business days, but sometimes you don't get that. Dr. Varu excellent. Highly qualified. He was the first Dr. in my 17 years at that time of closely defining and diagnosing what I was experiencing and helping me understand my challenges and what I could expect from him. I arrived in his office after a very traumatic experience going through a custody battle unable to cope or speak and he saved me. He asked the kind of questions forms cannot answer alone. I moved too far away in 2011 and I haven't found anyone that comes close to his skills.
Extremely unprofessional & condescending, especially when you feel vulnerable trying to deal w/ mental health issues. He actually made me break down into tears after I got to my car & now I am fearful to go to any counselor. He has absolutely no compassion or empathy & I feel like the only reason I keep getting appts rescheduled is so he can send off a bill & make more money. I feel like he got worse as time went on. It's scary to have a man like that in a power position.
Dr Varu helped me with Major depression and anxiety. He has a good ear and is eager to help.
