I was hesitant to even write a Google review, but it has been over a year and I still have not been able to get past the mistreatment I received from Dr. Johnson during my pregnancy with my daughter. Initially, Dr. Johnson put on a very pleasant and professional demeanor. I have went back and forth on whether to write this review or not because as an African American Woman I know the obstacles we face professionally both pursuing our career and then when actually serving in our career but HEALTH is important as we ALL ONLY GET ONE BODY! Dr Johnson took very good care of me before, during and after my surgery. She is a skilled surgeon and a caring doctor. Doctors Smith and Hathaway are wonderful as well! I wholeheartedly recommend this practice!
Meh. Went to her for two years. Her office is unorganized. Their phone tree is even unorganized. They will take weeks to call you about labs and results. It feels like the ice age in there. They need a whole new makeover and a whole new vibe. It’s 2025. You will not get info on the latest fibroid procedures (because she doesn’t perform them) but you will get info on hysterectomies (because she does perform those).
Dr. Valerie Johnson was the best OB/GYN I’ve ever seen. She made me feel unbelievably comfortable and answered all my questions thoroughly. I was able to talk to her and get real concrete information. She the best!
