After Dr. Guniganti put in my dad's pacemaker, she met with us a couple of times both to check on his progress and to give us information about his device. She was very friendly and professional, taking the time to be sure any questions we had were answered.
She is a sweet Doctor. However her office staff was not efficient or effective. My mom was to have a stint put in at OKC due to having too much blockage. It has been two days and her office staff has not gotten back with our family about scheduling. There was no one answering the office phones on Wednesdays. Her blockage stint or bipass was to be scheduled this week. This is an important matter that needs to be addressed.
This doctor & office staff have terrible communication skills with patients. After a pacemaker surgery was performed on my mother on May 17th, no follow-up appointment was made for her to see the doctor for a release to resume normal activities. It is going on 3 weeks and still no appointment. She was told she had an appointment with the doctor on June 7th, but when she went in, it was actually with a technician to check the pacemaker. The office person said the doctor isn't in on Tuesdays.
Poor communication by staff & doctor.
