I would personally not recommend Dr. Tulika Katyal, MD. I do not feel like she listened to me during my visits. She had asked me to follow up via messages and in her responses, it did not feel like she had read what I wrote. She's been inconsistent in following up and it does not feel like she is truly listening to my concerns. I am giving 2 stars because her nurse, Billy, is amazing and so sweet. Very attentive Dr. cares for patient and tries to find solutions to the issue without pushing lots of meds. Great personality and very courteous.
I like her. Nice personality.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Did not listen to my concerns and wrote me off saying I had tendinitis despite having body weakness, blurry vision, and arm tingling. Focused only on arm tingling and would not listen to what I had to say about vision going out, overall body weakness and extreme fatigue. I asked that she please listen to whatnot I had to say and she said I didn’t say anything—she continuously cut me off saying I had tendinitis—and argued with me so I left. Don’t waste your time.
I just saw Dr. Katyal for the first time, picked her at random because I needed a doctor and she is very close to my house. She was nice, paid attention to my concerns and asked several questions to get a bettering idea of what was going on with my concern that brought me in to see a doctor. I did have to wait a bit to be seen, not sure of that is the norm as this was my first visit. I would rather wait for a doctor I feel good about than get in quick and not be taken seriously. Great doctor who is professional & courteous.
I scheduled an appointment the first time I called and I was a new patient. I called on Monday and got an appt on Wednesday. Dr. Katyal was very warm, nice, caring and sympathetic. She is a wonderful doctor and addressed all of my concerns. I highly recommend her.
Scheduling appointments is a joke. Once had to call in 5 times in one day because "no one was available to take my call, please leave a message and we'll get back to you" never got back to me. Had to keep calling. Finally someone answered. I've told her about 3 different problems I'm having. Each time seeing her, she's addressed only one of them and I have to do what I can to get her to not end the appointment after 5 minutes of being there. Always feel rushed and not taken care of. Dr. Katyal is very professional, with a very caring side that brings comfort to one who needs answers. She is extremely knowledgeable and it's as if, she knew you for years. It's indeed a natural compliment to her character. She is quick on her feet and never drops the ball. Your important...she watches out for you...she is rare. Treat her with respect because she will do no less for you.
