Went in for a simple torn meniscus surgery. He showed up 45 minutes late the day of the surgery and after the surgery, I was worse off before the surgery. The surgery follow up appointment was a disaster. He blamed my pain on other factors. He was mad. How dare i question him.
Dr. Lucas replaced my hip for me. Very good doctor. My hip feels a lot better now! Little or no pain! He cares about his Patience’s and is right there to see how you are feeling after surgery! I am going to see him again this fall and see if he can correct a problem with my knee.
Have seen Dr. Lukas several times for different problems. He reminds me of a country doctor. He knows his stuff but is relaxed and easy to talk to. He makes you feel at ease. I really appreciate that he doesn't want to jump right into surgery for everything. I respect and trust his judgement and decisions.
Best doctor ever. Fixed torn meniscus. Never have pain. Was up and back to normal in a week. Only problem was going down stairs. And that is almost normal a month and a half later.

After another local orthopedic surgeon told me my only option for relief was a Knee replacement, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Lukas to get a 2nd opinion. I was given an appointment that same week (after having to wait over 3 weeks at the other office). After having xrays done in the office, Dr. Lukas explained that while surgery could be a possibility in the future, he recommended an injection to lubricate the joint. I have been pain free for 4 months and am so glad I found Dr. Lukas!
