Dr. Hormel is one of the kindest doctors I have ever been to (I've been to quite a lot). He is very compassionate. He doesn't rush through the appointment and the wait time wasn't long. He is very knowledgeable, even about the rare disease I have (some neurologists barely have a clue). I recommend Dr. Hormel to anyone in need of a good neurologist.

He’s the best!
Cared for me for 20 years. Very intelligent and kind. Thorough exams as well as answering all questions and concerns. Was told he was retiring in March 2021. Carilion address comes up. Unsure if error or if he is able to work PT at least. I hope so! His patients are blessed.

dr.hormel has been taking of me for years he saved my life when a norther person was giving me to much of the wrong drug to treat my seizers .he was the one who found my tumor .Dr. Hormel is a very kind and caring person and dr. the best bed side manner I have ever seen .when you are there to see him dr. Hormel gives you 100%pluse attention .its not about the money and what goes around him at the time you see him he is Stickley for the patient and the patient well benign gives you a thereal exam
Kristen, one of his office workers was so incredibly rude to me when I called about not getting Dr Hormel sent to my mail order pharmacy. I have been seeing Dr Hormel for years now with no problems whatsoever but if you want to be treated with common courtesy and respect, find another dr’s office. So unprofessional.
