Had physical on Tuesday 8/17; spent around 5 minutes with dr Bothwell. Waited quite a while for blood work and finally got up to go to lab to see why I hadn’t got called! Wow, did NOT have me listed!! Then on Thursday got a call that said spam call that was from a number not associated with SBMA; didn’t answer but a voicemail was left asking for me to call back for results of physical. Hes been my primary physician for 26 years now. I've had a variety of ailments over those years and he has always worked with me on fears, concerns, symptoms and two allergic reactions to medications. He is also very down to earth and easy to talk to.
Dr. Bothwell is a nice man. My parents like him very much and are relunctant to go to a different physician. I think it is horrible, however, how we wait for over an hour to see the physician when we have an appointment. The wait to get in is always over an hour, by the time we're done, it's a three hour minimum! This is unprofessional and, I think, abuse against the elderly.

I try to see patients on a timely manner, but sometimes it is impossible when patients come in for multiple problems. I would rather have a patient/parent rate me and not a daughter who isn't a patient.I will continue to try to improve. Dr. B
