I liked Dr. McGovern in the beginning, before my knee replacement surgery, because he was personable and funny and made me feel comfortable. Unfortunately, when I had issues with my knee healing properly, he was completely uncaring. I saw his assistant 15 months after my surgery because I was still limping and having pain. Dr. McGovern replaced my knee 3 months ago. I could not be happier. Not only did he do an amazing job, he is caring, relatable, approachable and knowledgeable. I did a lot of research before choosing him and by all accounts the feedback was great. But the true test really becomes the outcome - which has been fantastic. Very thankful to have him as my surgeon!
I don’t recommend this surgeon to anyone. I had rotator cuff surgery. I wouldn’t even give him a 1 but I had to do so to leave a review. I’ve wanted to do this for a long time. This guy shouldn’t be practicing. 1- he didn’t put me in the usual sling at all that everyone who shad the surgery is put into. I was supposed to be moving it around regularly a week later. But the night of the surgery, he told me to go home and lift my shoulder up above my head. I was young so what do I know. It hurt so bad and I was in so much pain ... read more
