After reading about the above parent writing about Dr. Lau's assessment of his children not requiring glasses being incorrect, I thought that I should add in my experience with Dr. Lau. I was an adult patient of Dr Lau's for many years and would agree that he is a very nice man. I regretted that I waited too long for 2nd opinion. Not only his equipments are old, his knowledge is not up to date. My kids have been seeing from ages 3 to 5. He kept saying that they don't need description glasses as their vision would improve as they age. After 2 years, things got worse, so we went to another optometrist. She adviced that my kids to have description glasses right away and she corrected the saying that kids eye sight would improve by itself is just wrong.
