Dr. Kowalik’s team was very helpful and gracious for our first visit to follow up on a femur (hip) repair. I was the driver and close friend of the patient. Rose was empathetic and responsive towards me. Liz was very welcoming and friendly towards this memory care patient with fears about not being able to walk. Dr. Kowalik’s encouraging words changed this patient’s mind about PT. She has hope now! He really has a coaching way about motivating older patients.
Full hip replacement went very smoothly.
I saw PA Julie at my 2 week post hip repl. She was great. Answered all my questions, wasn't rushed. professional but friendly. My experience with Dr. Kowalik was super great, as was the care I received at hospital including delicious food. My pain was gone 3 weeks and 2 days. Off all pain medicine at that time. I told Doc in recovery that he changed my life. Great to be pain-free after so long in pain. 10 + everyone.
It’s been two years since the good Dr. Kowalik replaced my left hip and the results have exceeded my expectations. I can’t emphasize enough that if you are in the market for a replacement, it is so very important to get as much specific physical conditioning PRIOR to the replacement, as the recovery will definitely be a smooth one.
