After my diagnosis told me I would be in a wheelchair the rest of my life with no hope of getting any better. Told me that was not so bad could have been cancer or heart disease! No advice as to what to try to improve said there was nothing I could do! The coldest treatment I ever had by a Dr. He is so impressed with himself! It’s 4 yrs later and I’m still walking no thanks to him!

Dr. Jones performed surgery on cyst in my spinal cord (syringomyelia). He told me the worst that could happen is having an area on my shoulder with lack of sensation to the touch and that I would be back to playing tennis in a few weeks (I’m not a tennis player). When I woke up, the entire left side of my body was paralyzed. I had to learn how to walk again, and I’ve been left with permanent frozen shoulder, a severe limp, and complex regional pain syndrome in my left hand (my hand feels like pins and needles 24/7). Right af... read more

I just returned from a consult with Dr. Jones, and I was thoroughly impressed. I’ve been in the health field helping others in pain for over 25 years, and recently I’ve had extreme debilitating low back pain myself. Although I’ve had some surgeries in my past, this was the first time I’d consulted with a spine surgeon. I’d heard stories of how arrogant and abrupt spinal surgeons could be, but I experienced none of that with Dr. Jones. I found him to be extremely thorough, conservative in his approach, and willing to clearly ... read more

I had back surgery 10 months earlier by another highly rated Neurosurgeon. I was not recovering after 9 months, so I went to Dr. Tom Jones for a second opinion. Dr. Jones examined me so thoroughly that he had 3 more MRIs done and he found a significant issue in my neck which was really causing my problem. My previous surgeon wanted to do two surgeries and I would spend two nights in the hospital. Dr. Jones did all the work in 2.5 hours and I was an outpatient. Full recovery-Dr. Jones FANTASTIC!

C4/5 Foraminectomy, Dr Jones is very straight forward and candid, I have spoken with numerous health care professionals and they all note that he is the best neuro surgeon in the area. I had tingling and burning in left shoulder / arm and he surgically corrected those issues. I think we are fortunate to have his expertise in our area and would not hesitate referring him or going to him in future Mike, age 59

I had injured my neck many years ago. After testing he told me I needed surgery. When I woke up after surgery I started vomiting and I was sick all day and night. My fear of damaging my neck was great. Finally the next day I was given something to stop it. I felt totally abandoned and neglected. He failed to tell me of the things I should and shouldn't do. My neck didn't heal correctly. I have suffered ever since. He's bedside manor is very cold and impatient.

Dr. Jones has performed two surgeries for me in the past 22 years. He is a brilliant surgeon and a compassionate doctor. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is experiencing back pain.
