Worst bedside practice in the industry. He is late to everything and staff follow his example of terrible customer service. Please get a different provider.
This doctor recommended retracting the prepuce of my friends intact son. He does not understand that this is incorrect care for intact children. Several acquaintances have had to leave this physicians care to find an intact friendly pediatrician in the area.
Dr. Benton and his staff are all fabulous! Very accommodating with scheduling and always great about returning phone calls. It is obvious that Dr. Benton, Elizma and Beth love what they do....they have all seen my child and are wonderful!
We have been patients for 18 years Dr. Benton and his staff are wonderful, they are always there to help and scheduling same day appointments. The front office and nurses are always helpful and courteous.
Worse decision we made was to go here. He has been nothing but rude and smug the whole time. He was always late and if he makes a phone appointment it is on the time of HIS system not ATOMIC time. Then if miss the after hours call (because his time is about 12 to 15 minutes behind real time) you have no way to call back. His staff is also rude and condescending. If you do go to him, get copies of your child's medical records regularly since they just happen to disappear when you need them to switch to a new Doctor. We were t... read more
Great providers who are always caring. Highly recommended. Nurses are awesome!
We have been a patient for 17 years and have never had a problem. Except for the occasional delay to see him. As a parent of 3 children I know this can be frustrating but I also know there were times when my child was severly ill and needed to be admitted to the hospital which made him late to see his other patients. He is very caring and lets parents guide him on how aggressive they want to explore possible issues. He often asks how I would like to proceed and then presents me with options. I would recommend him and his sta... read more
I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Benton and his staff. He correctly diagnosed a rare complication that one of my children experienced related to a birth defect. He is open to the use of midwives and out of hospital births. They always have sick child appointments available (which we seem to need a lot). I feel confident about his reccommendations and think he is a great doctor.
Two very bad experiences w/Dr. Benton(B). Following my daughter's birth, B recommended putting her in the intensive care unit, w/intravenous meds every 3 hrs. Numerous scars still on daughter's heel from repeated blood draws over 2 days w/metal cutter. I was breastfeeding and told B thatI wanted to hold my newborn while she was getting meds. I was sleep deprived, exhausted, worried sick. All tests came back PERFECTLY NORMAL! We had to pay for all this out of pocket. Second baby two years later, Benton said during birth check... read more
