I'd never recomend this dentist to anyone. It cost me over 5k, to get my teeth repaired from another reputable dentist. He pulled out a crown, Belfor did, said my insurance pre approved it and it was necessary, then he sewed up the big hole after pulling out the crown, pulled my back tooth that just needed a filling, patched up my front teeth, eventually that one thousand dollar patch fell out. And my insurance never pre approved anything I wouldnt pay for something he said I was approved of. Needless to say, it cost me $500... read more

I've been going to Belfor's practice for many years now, and I've never experienced bad service. Whenever I had questions, they'd be answered quickly and accurately. Bills are always sent in a timely manner and making new appointments is easy and flexible.

The first thing I hear when I walk into the office is him yelling at someone in the back room. As he began to attempt to refit my broken crown he dropped it in my mouth and I nearly choked. This made me anxious, so when he tried to put it on again I shifted my body very slightly and he yelled, and I mean yelled "I need you to sit still!" "You need to sit still! Clearly a very angry, impatient and unprofessional man. He shouldn't be practicing dentistry.

Ok so I can not give 0 stars, so here we go. I initially went to Dr. Belfort for an emergency tooth extraction. Everything went great and they took me in right away. Now I continued to make appointments with this office. 2nd appointment was to have another tooth extracted in preparation for partials. He " numbs" me and barely waits for the novocaine to start working ( it had not numbed anything yet) to start drilling. I told him stop I can feel everything, and he "numbs"me again. I had two extractions, one surgically, the other one not. Assistant said I was pre approved by medicaid, today they tell me Medicaid denied the extractions and partials I was supposed to get. Now I have hardly any teeth, and no partials. I have no money and can't afford dental insurance. Their office should have checked thoroughly if medicaid approved it or not. I'm not responsible for this bill. Plus it's been almost a month and my gums still hurt. I can't eat food without it being mushed.

Went in for a cleaning and to check some inflammation in my gums. Fastest cleaning in my life, and also told me I had two chipped fillings and they needed to be filled. Ok. They said they'd do a silver filling. I said no, I want composite (tooth colored). The entire time the dentist grumbled and complained since we went back and forth about me not wanting a silver filling. I had pain for 2 months. Paid another dentist $550 to repair my mouth. Belfor's filling wasn't even bonded to my tooth.

I wouldn't know I missed an appointment and the office manager said I couldn't be seen there... But my daughter went to him and she said he messed up her one tooth he worked on. Maybe I'm glad they won't see me there.
