Both my husband and myself had our cataract surgery by Dr. Hemelt. We were pleased with Dr Hemelt’s skill and his concern for our comfort. His staff was very informative about the pre-surgery and post surgery procedures. We could not have had a better experience.
When seeking a 2nd opinion after being blinded by another Dr, I decided to see this Dr. I presented with blindness in my right eye. I wanted a totally unbiased opinion so I left details out until he realized something had obviously happened, upon telling him what had occurred at the other Dr office I was called a liar, and told I had bad "karma". He then asked for permission to contact the other Dr which I expressed extreme opposition to, and later found out he did anyway. Terrible experience.
My husband and I were New patients today.. The entire staff was very pleasant to speak with and Dr. Hemelt was not rushed, he took his time to speak with us and answer all of our questions. Plan on bringing my two children to see him next.
Very professional and never rushes you out the door. Explains everything to you.
