Dr. Shakir is kind and compassionate and really works to make sure her patients have the correct medication for their needs. We have used her for years and couldn't be happier. She also makes herself available to patients between appointments. She does not rush appointments at all and really takes time to understand what is going on.
I would not recommend her at all. I have waited a really long time to get medications and she refused to prescribe any based on another doctor's medicines. Those meds have absolutely nothing to do with mental illness and she just said to see how they work. This makes no logical sense whatsoever.
