Best experience ever. Most thoroughly informative eye doctor. Explained everything so well and what I would experience and how to deal with everything as recovery progressed. Always available for anything that worried me. Am so pleased with end results and would highly recommend him for anything eye related. 8 months after Ptosis bilateral surgery with Dr.Tai Smith I remain vision impaired with double vision and chronically dry eyes. Dr. smith did NOT warn me of any potential adverse effects of this surgery nor inform me that as a person who already suffered with dry eyes - I would not be a candidate for this surgery. Post surgery he was dismissive of my dry eyes and blurred double vision- denying it was the Ptosis surgery causing it and instead blaming my macular degeneration. My wife has seen Dr Tai on more than one occasion and we have been consistently impressed. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and caring, with a manner that makes you feel comfortable and well supported. The quality of his work is exceptional, and we are very happy with the results. We would recommend him without hesitation.
I recently had a consultation with Dr Smith and was disappointed with my experience. The consultation felt very rushed, and I didn’t feel like my questions were welcomed or adequately addressed., I didn’t feel listened to or given clear, reassuring information. Overall, the bedside manner felt poor, and I left the appointment feeling disappointed rather than informed.
