I've had 3 therapists for anxiety in my lifetime: One who just nodded and constantly asked, "And what do you think that means?" One who put electrodes on my head (neurofeedback), left the room for 20 minutes then asked if I felt calmer afterwards. And one who called me on my bs, go to the root of my anxiety (a specific childhood event), taught me how to forgive people who've done me wrong and taught me how to control my emotions using meditation/mind over matter (and never suggested drugs).
