She told me that rectal bleeding was normal and since I was in pain I went to another doctor for a second opinion. The second doctor diagnosed stage 2+ internal hemorrhoids. After a hemorrhoidectomy at the second hospital, I feel so much better.
What a GREAT Doctor! She is honest and compassionate. I was diagnosed with colon cancer that I had several problems with following the initial surgery. Dr. Briley saved my life. Her work ethic, skill, and compassion, coupled by the work ethic, skill, and compassion of the staff that she has working with her is remarkable. I strenuously recommend this wonderful Doctor.
I thought that she was great. She educated me on my situation, presented me with options, and spent the time with me as needed. Good experience. As a new patient I arrived 20 mins early to fill out paperwork; they got me back exactly at time of appointment; she was present within 10 mins.
Terrible experience. Colon surgery was botched. Nicked artery. Ended up with colostomy and more colon removed than originally planned. Bad bedside manner. Could only say this had never happened before.
Dr. Briley is a fantastic surgeon. She saved my life when i had stage 4 colorectal cancer at 33yrs old (10 years ago). She told me she would do everything she could to prevent a colostomy and she did. She listened to me and addressed all my concerns. I personally love the fact that she doesnt beat around the bush and sugar coat things..but my feelings dont get hurt easily and I'd rather know exactly what im looking at with no confusion at the end of the conversation..time is of the essence
Today I saw Dr. Briley for the first time. She was a great doctor and I really enjoyed my appointment, however, the other doctor who she shares an office with, her receptionist was incredibly rude. The situation was so uncomfortable and unprofessional that I will not be returning to this doctor's office at all. It's unfortunate Dr. Briley has lost a patient, due to a staff member's behavior.
Words cannot express the gratitude that we have for Dr. Susan Briley since Maurice oncologist Dr. Ma recommended her to him. During all visits, the surgery, and recovery, she has treated him in the kindest and most professional manner possible. Not only was the patient given consideration, but also the family and caregiver was considered and all questions were answered with no hesitation and completely. Thanks, Dr. Briley, for being a part of our medical team. We will always love you.
Very professional, very polite and explains everything so that it was understandable got me in quickly to see doctor when I was having problems
I seen Dr. Briley for colon issues that my regular Gastro did not help me with and she wouldn't treat me for my problem due to me seeing someone else. She also ordered an ultrasound of my liver. My diagnosis was reported as fatty liver that I had several spots. Never explain what to do other than follow up with my PCP. I followed up w/PCP he explain my issue was not that serious and followed me for a little over a year. She is not interested in explaining treatment to better a persons health.
