My motto, after 30 years in the US and 40 years practicing medicine, is to treat the patient as a whole. I specialize in Infertility, Endocrinology and early detection of GYN Cancer. I am a robotic and laser surgeon. I also specialize in adolescent GYN, where 30 % of my patients are teen agers or in their twenties. For my patients, I am their Primary Care Physician.

I was in a car accident and pregnant with my first child. I called Dr. Sharan's office (noticeably scared and terribly worried) and explained them that i am visiting FL for a couple of days and that I had an accident and I need to check on my baby. They invited me to come the day after yet they had no instruments to preform ultrasound so they refereed me to some other office for ultrasound. They had never called me with results and had not return my phone calls,yet they send bill to my insuran

We graciously worked this patient in that flew in from out of town. Dr Sharan no longer does OB.She spent nearly an hour with this patient . She did a full OB visit, arrangements by me for ultrasound ASAP, as well as a full prenatal screening. we took her during lunch hour . She could not get an appointment anywhere . we promptly faxed results over to patients OB in DC. This is very disheartening, as we are so dedicated to our patients, and go out of our way to help all in need.
She is very caring to her patients. She takes the time to talk with you, answer your questions. She is always up on the new medical treatments. Her research is impeccable.
Dr Sharon is a godsend! She diagnosed me with endometriosis years ago where several other doctors had dismissed me and misdiagnosed me. She performed surgery with minimal scarring which eased my chronic pain and changed my life. I have since moved out of state but still consider her the best Gyn I have ever seen.
I had never seen a Dr . Take so much interest and care in my well being. It was more like visiting a caring friend than going to the GYn. Fantastic loving doctor, will be taking my teenage girl in next month.
At age 11, I had my 1st visit with Dr. Sharan who diagnosed me with PCOS. My mom has PCOS so it was no surprise so I was sent to Rheumatologist who dismissed my symptoms. Since then I have had very painful periods, I have gained a ton of weight and now at the age of 19, I am back with Dr. Sharan because I am a mess due to other doctors not getting to the heart of the problems.
Dr. Sharan is a doctor unlike you will ever meet in the industry today. She is kind, sharp and careful to diagnose the problems at hand. She clearly knows what she is doing. While her Sarasota office is in a converted 70's house, and seems strange when you first arrive, it becomes clear that you are where you need to be. The staff is very warm and welcoming and I have felt taken care of every step of the way. Dr. Sharan is an excellent surgeon, a great doctor and a wonderful woman.
She did an unnecessary surgery on me. She also diagnosed me with sever level when it was only mild. She also performed procedures that was absolutely unnecessary based on another dr. She will do anything on you to make money without paying any attention to your body and health. Please please do not go there, I'm filing a complaint. I'm not sure why she is still certified to practice.

This patient had been through multiple doctors before coming to our practice. She was appropriately diagnosed and properly taken care of. Despite these threats, we did not receive any complaint from insurance or licensing. 95 percent of five star ratings , and three generations of happy patients, speaks for itself.
