I can not recommend any Endocrinologist who thinks a TSH is sufficient when determining what your thyroid medication should be! During my visit she implied my previous Dr and her father were incompetent or perhaps fraudulent because they ran too many tests. If I wanted someone who would just monitor TSH I would have stayed with my Primary and saved the time and money
Stay away! She’s horrible! At first I liked Dr. Bhakta because she spent time with me and explained things to me (so I thought). I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had 2 surgeries under Dr. Bhakta. Everything went very well. With the second surgery my thyroid was completely removed. She did not put me on synthetic hormones right away because I needed radioactive iodine treatment. Okay fine. After the treatment, I was started on 100mcg unithroid. My aunt saw this doctor recently and what a disaster! This doctor does not care about her patients!!!! Beware!!!
I saw this doctor for a pituitary adenoma and multiple endocrine issues from being very ill a few months prior. I did all the tests she asked me and all the results came back on April 24, 2023. I heard nothing from the doctor in regards to all of my results. I messed the doctor multiple times through my chart and requested a phone call or explanation or results.
