All the problems I brought up to him were disregarded and made "non-concerns". Got a second opinion and my child needed surgery because the adenoids were almost completely blocking the airway. Meanwhile the dr said it was a PHASE. Glad we went elsewhere for real help.
He denied me getting a referral for my child to see an ENT and claimed adenoids were just fine and the breathing issues were in my imagination. When I did find an ENT through a different doctor they found adenoids blocked over 90 percent of the airway. This explained ALL of my child's problems. Glad we left him to find someone who knew what they were doing! Surgery was needed!
The staff is horrible via phone and in person.
My son was a regular patient of Dr. Dodd. When I called just to ask when the next batch of COVID vaccines would arrive, reception asked us to hold, but then hung up. After calling back Dr. Dodd himself answered, and told me, "I don't believe in them." When I responded to him asking, "Shouldn't that be a decision for the parents?" He answered, "I don't care," before slamming his phone down to hang up. I knew Dr. Dodd was a traditional doctor, but I had no idea that he would put politics ahead of his own patients care. Dr. Dobbins is one of the few highly trained professionals I recommend specially for a new born baby. I feel my new born twins are in a good hands. He is very caring and meticulous to each question us parents pose. He takes time to listen, and to examine the babies. I highly recommend Dr Dobbins as on of the best Pediatrician in Orlando.
Wonderful staff and incredible Doctor. He is always attentive to my children's needs and to mine. He always makes time to address my concerns. He has been in my "family" for 14 years, caring for all 3 of my kids since birth. Very patient even when my concerns were unfounded. Took extra time for me when my first was born, knowing I was a new mommy. HIGHLY recommend him and his staff.
Dr. Dobbins and staff are the best!! Excellent bedside manner and extremely knowledgeable. He has been my son's Dr. since moving to Florida in 2005 but recently moved. Highly recommend him to all!
A doctor should never laugh at a parent's concerns. Poor turnaround time with responses regarding test results. Prescribed antibiotics when he admitted no infection was present. Staff is also rude and seem clueless regarding ongoing issues with patient.
Dr. Dobbins is by far the best pediatrician in the South Orlando area. He is always there whenever we have any issues at all. He has come in to the office on a Sunday when my little one was having a 'non emergency but didn't feel comfortable waiting until Monday' issue. He is the best - compassionate, knowledgeable and comforting. His office staff are also incredible. Love, love, love Dr. Dobbins!
