I highly recommend Dr Wilkofsky. He is a very good communicator to patients, etc.
I had a very serious case of Salmonella and was in ICU for 10 days. I was finally discharged with the promise I would see a GI specialist after my discharge to monitor lipase levels. I was referred by PCP to Dr. Wilkofsky, I wish I would have been referred to any other doctor but this one. His bedside manner was rude and condescending. He acted like I was overreacting by being there and he made me feel foolish. He talked down to me. I didn't even keep my follow up appointment. STAY AWAY!!!

Dr Wilkofsky may come across a bit arrogant in the beginning but if you listen to what tells you, you realize he's just a very confident Dr. I was having very painful stomach aches & was referred to Wilkofsky. I went to see him on a Monday. He ordered a sonogram for Tuesday & called me on Wednesday with the news of stones in my gallbladder. I saw a surgeon on Thursday & had my gallbladder removed on Friday. No more stomach aches!!! I love this Dr.!!!!
He has been my GI for 17-18 years. I was referred to him very ill with multiple GI issues. He calmly evaluated me, started slowly on what to try. Before him, I was in the hospital each year (4 hospitalizations in 4 years). With him and others following me, I have not been admitted to a hospital in 15 years. I credit Dr. WIlkofsky as the primary force of all my care.
